Weightlifting Wales staff were assisted by Chris Lewis, Sport Wales Strength and Conditioning coach who delivered an injury prevention session to help athletes address their weaknesses to maximise their future performance and minimise their risks of injury.
The weekend also saw the beginning of our female athlete health programme supported by Dr Natalie Brown at Sport Wales and Dr Sophie Harrison at Bangor University by initiating conversations around the menstrual cycle and weightlifting. We want to empower Welsh athletes through discussions, support, and education.
Well done to all those who have been selected for the squads, Weightlifting Wales is excited for the future of this talented group of athletes.
