A club should be a safe environment for all its members. All licensed clubs should have a Safeguarding Policy and relevant procedures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of its members is kept as a top priority. All licensed clubs should also have a Club Welfare Officer in place, who has a DBS, relevant safeguarding training, a BWL membership and who is assigned the Club Welfare Officer Role within the Club's administration page on Sport80.
There is lots of advice and resources below, and within the WW Safeguarding Policy, to help support clubs to ingrain safeguarding practices within their club.
If you need support on implementing a safeguarding policy in your club, you can contact the WW Safeguarding Lead.
